the reply from "ongkong was received, concentraved on the
difficult and delicate negotiations which followed on
the "Fatshan" enquiry.
We had, moreover, but mall reason to take any
special interest in this case as a similar collision case
which had occurred a few wooks previously had, after
considerable correspondence with the Chinese Authorities
and an empiry at the Consulate, ended in the calling of
